Hi Darrell,<br>

<br>

You can find the revised and final presentation here:
<a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/0pyan4s00buozce/FOSS4GLogoPresentation%233.pdf" target="_blank">https://www.dropbox.com/s/0pyan4s00buozce/FOSS4GLogoPresentation%233.pdf</a><br>

<br>

The goal here is for the group to pick a single logo as their final
logo. Page 1 has a green ribbon and page two a yellow ribbon with red
bird. The bird's shape is inspired by the Junco you sent, however,
thought a highlight color might look better than just brown; red was
chosen because it seemed to be a highlight color that the group liked
and worked well with yellow which was chosen for legibility reasons and
so that it could be used as a natural color for the feet and beak of the
 bird and keep the overall color count low. If someone asks, perhaps we
could say its a red finch?

<br>

Other Changes/Notes:<br>

<ul>

  <li>Year has been updated to 2014<br>
  </li>
  <li>Font is from Presentation#2, Logo#1 (winner of vote)<br>
  </li>
  <li>Ribbon is from Presentation #2, Logo#2 (winner of vote)<br>
  </li>
  <li>"10th Anniversary" text was added to the ribbon; "2004-2014" is
more difficult to read/interpret, also don't want 2004 to be a point of
discussion; "10 years of open geospatial" is too long<br>
  </li>
  <li>Page #1 has a green ribbon (winner of vote); color has been
changed to match OSGEO logo highlight color; green must be lighter than
original green in order from brown text to be legible<br>
  </li>
  <li>Page #2, has a yellow ribbon and a bird; yellow was chosen because
 it is again light in color to help with legibility, and also can be
used as a natural color for the feet and beak of the bird and keep the
overall color count low (this can be a three or four color logo
depending on whether or not the log background is used).<br>
  </li>
  <li>Interior of the log has been given a stronger color, similar to
that used in Presentation #1</li>
</ul>

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. If there are
substantial change requests from the group at this point we can talk.<br>

Best,<br>
