[Gdal-dev] gdal in debian

Hallo!

with help from Alessandro Amici, Frank Warmerdam, Paul Baker and my
debian sponsor Jochen Friedrich I was able to get gdal into debian. If
you would like to know more about the status of the gdal package in
debian please have a look at

	http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gdal.html

If you experience any problems with the package please send a bug to
the debian bug tracker. I will then do my best to solve the problem.

Again many thanks to all those who helped me finish the package
especially Alessandro who mainly build the package.
