Markus,

This is not supported directly by the HDF driver yet. I'm working to
improve the driver as I promised before. I think Ben uses world file to
specify corner coordinates and -a_srs option to set an input projection
for his JPEGs. But HDF driver doesn't support world files, so individual
subdatasets should be converted in other format (TIFF) if you want to do
so.
