Wow, the geos code looks powerful, you should totally integrate it with

Martin,

Is it is a C/C++ port of the Java Topology Suite.  It can be found at:

   http://geos.refractions.net/

It is an opengis simple features geometry based geometry engine.   It is
already used by PostGIS and since it shares a geometry model (though not
the actual object instance format) with OGR I think it should be easy to
integrate it to implement a variety of complex geometry operations for
OGR.

Doing so is on my long term "todo" list.
