[Gdal-dev] problem compiling GDAL1.2.3 with Xerces2.5.0

Hello,

I have a problem compiling gdal 1.2.3 with xerces 2.5.0 on Linux. I
tried --with-xerces and got:

"configure: error: Please correct Xerces options, or don't enable Xerces."

The default Paths should be fine. For example the xerces include path:
"-I/usr/local/include/xercesc"

Some time ago I compiled gdal 1.2.0b with xerces 2.5.0 and it worked. Is
there a problem with the version of xerces? Which version will be better?

Any help will be appreciated.
