[Gdal-dev] OGR2OGR PG schema support

Hallo

I want to insert an ESRI shape into a postgres schema. The documentation
doesn't give any suggestions how to do that. I tried 

ogr2ogr -f postgresql PG:... shape.shp -nln schema.table

but ogr2ogr responses with error 
FAILED: To find existing layer `schema.table' on output dataset

ogr Version 1.2.1

I would be appreciate about any hint.
