[Gdal-dev] OGR and Oracle DATE and TIMESTAMP fields?

I'm using OGR's ExecuteSQL() datasource method and it appears DATE and
TIMESTAMP fields are ignored. Anyone know how to get dates out or oracle
using OGR without having to open a second connection to the DB using
DBI?
