Hi There,

Does anyone know which version of Google Earth uses GDAL, what it does
and by what price?

That is all that I found so far but it's confusing:

"Google Earth EC features:
...
* GIS data import -allows direct import into Google Earth EC of
"traditional" GIS files. These are ingested and converted into KML. You
can open and directly view .SHP, TAB, and over two dozen other GIS files
formats. The points and geometry are draped onto imagery, 3D terrain,
and streamed vector and point layers."

And

"Optional premium features and data:
...
* GIS Data Importing Module - $200
o incorporate GIS data in file formats such as .shp, .tab
o examples include parcel data, demographics data, 3D building data
[http://earth.google.com/earth_pro.html]"

Thanks in advance,

Ivan
