[Gdal-dev] no sucess trying to build ECW for GDAL

Folks,

All I would add is that I've now built the new libecw with gcc 3.3.3 and
it seems to build, and install fine.  I build GDAL against it with no problem
and the ecw.py autotest passes.  This on Intel Linux.

Perhaps a brief beta cycle before final release could have identified the
problems with newer gcc's!
