I have not run into this myself.  I presume it is some sort of nasty
incompatibility of build options.

What version of the MrSID SDK, and visual studio are you using?

could you list your OPTFLAGS line, and the MRSID_DIR, MRSID_INCLUDE and
MRSID_LIB settings?
