[Gdal-dev] FWTools 1.2.1: install.sh fails on a 64bit machine

Ubuntu Dapper, 2.6.15-28-amd64-xeon:

$ /bin/FWTools-1.2.1$ ./install.sh
./install.sh: line 33: bin/python: No such file or directory

But why? The file *is* there:

$ file ~/bin/FWTools-1.2.1/bin/python
/home/maciek/bin/FWTools-1.2.1/bin/python: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel
80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.0.30, dynamically linked (uses
shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.0.30, not stripped

The same FWTools 1.2.1 installs and works fine on a 32bit box.
