(slightly off-topic)

Reading this MSYS/MinGW/GRASS comment reminds me of a wall I am planning 
to hit: recently I have become a grass user (on Gentoo, and have failed 
miserably with any windows attempts) and my goal is to add GRASS-data 
support to MS4W builds (through GDAL of course).   But I have many 
questions for how to go about that...which IS related to this "unified" 
windows binary for GDAL.
