Jukka,

If you can wait a while there will be a new FWTools release that includes
the driver, and then it should be easy to compare performance to older
releases.  I'm not sure when the next fwtools cut will be though.  I just
pushed out 1.2.1 yesterday before finishing the jp2kak work. :-)
