I kinda remember now that I used vrt files to combine the 321 bands into RGB and
georeference them at the same time and converted to tiff with gdal_translate.

I have to mention that I was using a much older GDAL at the time and
the FAST format
for L7 was not fully implemented. I haven't tried recently...

And historically, GDAL has had probs with some of the GLCF stuff.
