Joaquim,

I have confirmed this problem.  It turns out to be a problem transforming
the world corners (-180,90) to equirectangular.  Due to complex internal
issues it is hard to do this properly for projections that are internally
treated as spherical.  Grr.

Could you file a ticket on this issue?
