Subject: [gdal-dev] gdal 1.5.1 make error on Solaris

hi gdal-dev list,
I have previously built gdal 1.4 on the same Solaris platform.
This time I would like to build gdal 1.5.1 so large images can be processed.
 1) 'config' went smoothly.
 2) I got this error almost at end of fmake:
ggrep: /usr/local/lib/libintl.la: No such file or directory
/opt/sfw/bin/gsed: can't read /usr/local/lib/libintl.la: No such file or dlibtool: link: `/usr/local/lib/libintl.la' is not a valid libtool archive
gmake[1]: *** [libgdal.la] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/.....'gmake: *** [check-lib] Error 2
There is no libintl.la anywhere in PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH to be found.
There is libintl.a under /usr/lib/ that -> ./null.a
what is this libintl.la and how to solve the error?
thanks,
Shawn
