OSGeo4W cannot reach out past my office's proxy server to download
the packages. The attempt to connect to the internet is blocked.

I visited http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/DownloadingGdalBinaries,

but it appears that the available GDAL is version 1.5, ie
http://download.osgeo.org/gdal/win32/1.5/gdalwin32exe150.zip

Is there another location where I can download GDAL 1.6 for
Windows XP?

Regards,
nick
