[gdal-dev] extracting polynomial from gdalwarp

I have a set of images (domain A) and another set of images (domain B), 
both with available GCPs

I want to:

1) determine a minimum second order polynomial transform from domain A 
-> domain B using the two sets of GCPs

2) apply that transform to domain A GCPs to get domain B GCP's

Could someone please point out the correct path through GDALWARP to 
calculate and then save the polynomial.
