Joaquim,

Thank you for not being harsh.  It's wrong though because it causes major
headaches as you pointed out.  For what it's worth, I have made the change
and will post it tomorrow so others don't incur the same issue.

Martin,

Don't feel particularly guilty. Many softwares do so. The real guilty 
one is Bill that let codes install in the core system directories.
