[gdal-dev] Removing GDAL to reinstall

Hi,

Through stupidity - call it unfamiliarity with Linux installs? - I have 
ended up with two GDALs installed: 1.4 and 1.5. I want to go back to 
"clean" so I can configure the installation with ECW. How do I do this?
