I have taken the liberty of attaching a related subject line for this email.

What have you tried so far?  Have you read the DTED drive documentation
yet?  Are you fine with doing the conversion using gdal_translate?

It should be doable, but I'd like to know you have made an effort and that
I'm not going to explain stuff you have already tried before I sink a bunch
of time into this.
