You could try filing a ticket with the file, and a description of why
you are convinced it is off by half a pixel.  Keep in mind that GDAL's
georeferencing model has the origin at the top left corner of the top
left pixel while some raster data/products treats the origin as being at
the center of the top left pixel (or you can think of it as considering
the pixels as point).
