[gdal-dev] Cannot project MERIS N1 data with gdalwarp

Hi,

I'm having trouble projecting MERIS level 1b data:

$ gdalwarp
MER_RR__1PPBCM20100101_080424_000000622085_00350_40985_0012.N1 meris.tif
ERROR 1: Unable to compute a transformation between pixel/line
and georeferenced coordinates for
MER_RR__1PPBCM20100101_080424_000000622085_00350_40985_0012.N1.
There is no affine transformation and no GCPs.

I can successfully project the data using BEAM and use it to export the
GCPs, so they are present in the metadata.
