Jorge,

The support for this format is briefly described at:

   http://www.gdal.org/frmt_various.html#AIG

It is read-only.  At one time there was a grid writer in GDAL but it
depending on a fragile approach to using ArcView DLLs and it was removed
due to a variety of problems.
