I frequently build GDAL from current trank on Windows 7 64-bit using
Visual Studio 11 (DP) for both, 32-bit and 64-bit.
I haven't noticed any problems.

(Note, PE32+ denotes 64-bit.)


To be on safe side, I always build in separate source trees
trunk/ for 32-bit
trunk.x64/ for 64-bit
