[gdal-dev] Call for discussion for "RFC38 - OGR Faster Open"

For what it's worth...

I'd be happy to see a development towards GDALDataset and OGRDataSource inheriting from the same superclass.

This is due to writing process modelling algorithms that can operate on several geometries.
