[gdal-dev] Option to supress gdalinfo's Warning messages

Dear GDAL-ers,

Is there a configuration option for GDAL to supress (gdalinfo) warnings like

"Warning 1: Unable to save auxilary information in 
/vsisubfile/3884_478612158,..."

?

I can't seem to find something in either 
<http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/ConfigOptions> or 
<http://www.gdal.org/gdalinfo.html>.
