[gdal-dev] In which version utilities have appeared?

There are not that many utilities, however, many of the utilities have
all kinds of flags and features which started at various versions.
Looking for "starting with gdal" on http://gdal.org/ogr2ogr.html gives
a hint at that complexity.  "starting with" or "GDAL >" on
http://gdal.org/gdal_translate.html ....  And if there are changes in
formats (or proj4) that interact with these flags... Coherent
presentation would require a huge table or chart and maybe still be
confusing.
