[gdal-dev] Erdas Imagine .img vs. GeoTIFF

Hi

we have some Worldview 3 files in Erdas Imagine format. Are there any
advantages over GeoTIFF in daily business (or general)? Of course it
depends what daily business means... e.g. using derived products(RGB or
false color images) in a desktop gis application or in a wms.
