If this option is still on the table, I'd be willing to do the work of
moving GDAL svn and trac to OSGeo gogs/gitea infrastructure.
Note interested in helping with move to github, though I would be willing to
help out with fixing the mirroring on github so that tags are correctly
setup as tags (similar to how they are on PostGIS mirror)

Sandro already did a proof of concept with GEOS though he didn't officially
move the tickets off of trac.  I have on my list to experiment moving Gogs
to gitea and iron out any issues.

I was thinking trac/git integration might be another possibility though it
sounds from this page, the performance might not be there yet.
