[gdal-dev] gdal -ASLR compliance (SSP, RELRO)

Hi Kavitha,

I doubt the answer has changed since your last email to the list on the
topic (on 8 April).

The answer was that you should be able to enable these compiler features
when compiling from source yourself, as well as a report that GDAL has been
known to compile successfully with SSP. If you have had problems when
trying to compile with these features enabled, then it would be better to
ask about/report those issues specifically.

It is very unlikely that someone else will provide custom builds of GDAL
with the exact combination of compiler arguments you are looking for. The
way you are wording your messages is also not coming across as very polite
- it comes across as if you are expecting the community to provide these
services, rather than asking what is possible, and that you have not
attempted to do the compilation with your required flags. Your (or your
company's) security compliance requirements are not those of the GDAL
project.

Regards,
Daniel
