Hi folks, thanks for the tips.

Now I got sucess on Fedora 5 ( which GCC 4 is default, but GCC 3 is available also)
with:

$ CC=/usr/bin/gcc32 CXX=/usr/bin/gcc32 ./configure
$ make
$ make install

I didn't build MapServer or any other viewer yet to check is this library was really setup with sucess, but if I found any other problems, I'll post here.

Thanks

Eduardo

On 10/4/06, Frank Warmerdam <warmerdam@pobox.com> wrote:

Folks,

All I would add is that I've now built the new libecw with gcc 3.3.3 and
it seems to build, and install fine. I build GDAL against it with no problem
and the ecw.py autotest passes. This on Intel Linux.

Perhaps a brief beta cycle before final release could have identified the
problems with newer gcc's!

Best regards,
--
---------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
