Hi Chris,<br><br>While I'm no aware of any specific issues related to Win7 if you provide some test data I could try your command on my Win7 x64. So as to make sure about the problem you might also want to test with the binaries available at <a href="http://vbkto.dyndns.org/sdk/">http://vbkto.dyndns.org/sdk/</a> (Run sdkshell.bat for the command prompt).<br>

I have used gdal before (very briefly) to translate gebco bathemetry data<br>
from the netcdf file it comes as, into a tif format that I can use/ further<br>
convert in esri arcgis software. When I used gdal before (on another system)<br>
I used the osgeo4w windows version on 64bit vista, and simply typed in the<br>
command 'gdal_translate -a_srs EPSG:4326 <a href="http://filename.nc" target="_blank">filename.nc</a>' at the command prompt.<br>
This worked well. I now need to repeat the process, this time using osgeo4w<br>
on 64bit windows 7.<br>

The problem I am having is that this no longer seems to work. I go to the<br>
osgeo4w command prompt, type in the above with the appropriate file name and<br>
nothing happens. I just get the standard dos message regarding the usage of<br>
the tool. Gdalinfo works ok. I do not believe that I am typing anything<br>
incorrectly. Does anyone know if the issue is associated with my change of<br>
OS? Should there be entries for osgeo4w or gdal in environment variables,<br>
because there doesn't seem to be any at present. Any suggestions<br>
appreciated.<br>
