when I manually add to the Transparent Pixel List, then it works (in
Qgis), so how can I update all the ortho images to reflect their nodata

Having successfully run 'nearblack -white', gdalbuildvrt worked as
expected, with the following parameters:<br>
gdalbuildvrt -addalpha -hidenodata -srcnodata "255 255 255"
-vrtnodata "255 255 255" job177_untiled_orthos_setnodata.vrt
*.tif<br>
