How surprising it might be, the space separator is the documented (see end of<br>
<a href="http://gdal.org/gdal_utilities.html" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://gdal.org/gdal_<wbr>utilities.html</a>) and implemented way of separating the key<br>
and the value.<br>
