            It seems that GDAL cannot interpret right the ground control
            points which are stored into the aux.xml file. I can see
            that the support for GeodataXform has been improved a few
            times <a
href="https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/search?q=geodataxform&type=commits"
              moz-do-not-send="true">

            but maybe this dataset (there is a link for downloading test
            data) has some previously untested sort of aux.xml. The
            GeoTIFF has wrong GCPs with small pixel values like
            (16.5886813769484,11.2421187314794) but I made also a test
            with “--config GDAL_GEOREF_SOURCES PAM” and even by creating
            a cleaned baseline tiff + PAM file but the GCPs looked still
            wrong.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
