ISDE strives to recognize and reward outstanding research conducted by students worldwide. This award is to provide an opportunity for young scientists to interact with the ISDE community at an early stage in their career. *General Requirements* - Two awards will be provided - one particularly for the best paper of a young professional working in Africa and the second award for the best paper of a young professional worldwide; - Awardees are required to present the research paper in the conference. The criteria are referenced to the requirements of the Oral Presentation of the conference; - The participants have the exclusive opportunity to volunteer during the conference in close collaboration with the ISDE secretariat. *Award Winners Receive* - An award certification, granted during the conference; - A flight ticket (economic class) to the conference place and one free conference registration; - An ISDE student membership (one year). *Application Procedure* - A cover letter from the applicant, describing the anticipated benefits of attending the conference, and how other expenses (e.g., accommodations and daily allowance for food etc.) can be covered; - An abstract of the research paper (abstract and full paper template refereed to the requirements of the conference); - A letter of support from the applicant’s research advisor; - Applicants C.V. These documents should be sent to Mr. Jiang Hao (jianghao at radi.ac.cn) as one single PDF file, and the applicants name should appear in the email subject line and with the words “Travel Award for Young Scientists”.
