premier African conference for scientists and practitioners involved in remote sensing, earth observation, space science and geospatial technology in general. AARSE
conferences are geared at keeping society and governments abreast of the
exponentially growing technology, but also provide a forum not only for
dissemination, but also for discussion on tackling the continent’s development
challenges.</span></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;">The 11<sup>th</sup>
AARSE international conference will be held at Hotel African in Kampala, Uganda
from 24<sup>th</sup> to 28<sup>th</sup> October 2016. The theme of the
conference is “</span><strong style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: blue;">Our Earth, Our
Heritage: Harnessing Geospatial Technology for Sustainable Development in
Africa</span></strong><span style="color: #1a1a1a;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">”. The theme and attendant sub themes will address the post 2015 global development agenda. </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">The event will feature keynote addresses form eminent
speakers on the subthemes, technical presentations, workshops and a range of
