[Ica-osgeo-labs] AGSE 2013 and ISPRS two-day workshop on the theme "Innovative Learning Tools 2013"

The CfPs for these two events in December might be of interest to some of you.

AGSE (Applied Geoinformatics for Society and Environment) series of conferences is an interdisciplinary, international forum for sharing knowledge and expertise among the scientists, academia, researchers, professionals and industry about Geoinformatics with specific focus on its applications. The emphasis is given more to the participation and learning for developing countries. The goal of AGSE events are being achieved by organizing series of conferences and summer schools in various countries every year. AGSE 2013 International Conference  on "Geospatial Momentum for Society and Environment" will be held at  CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India during 16-19 December in collaboration with Stuttgart University, Germany.  There will be workshops on Open Source GIS at the conference. There will also be an ISPRS  two-day workshop on the theme "Innovative Learning Tools 2013" with specific emphasis on Earth Resource Management during 20-21 December, 2013 in CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. The workshop aims for promoting innovative learning methods such as E-learning and Web based applications for Education services, Technology transfer and Capacity Development. It will stimulate education, training and technology transfer considering the needs and resources available. It focuses on E-delivery of educational services as the trend of knowledge sharing and teaching methods are changing like Standardized teaching concepts, Participatory teaching, Interactive and collaborative training and skill developments. There is a specific theme on GIS applications using open source platforms (covering Open-source tools development,Application of OGC standards, Collaborative approach between Corporate, Government and Academia, Open-source, open access and free access). We will also  be planning to officially launch our new ICA-OSGeo lab in India led by Prof. Anjana Vyas at CEPT University in December during these events.
