[Ica-osgeo-labs] New ideas welcome

Over the 10 years Suchith contributed hugely to the development of Nottingham's Centre for Geospatial Science (CGS) which he joined shortly after I also moved to the University and established CGS and also, following my retirement, to the Nottingham Geospatial Institute (NGI).  Whilst NGI would certainly miss him and his driving enthusiasm this is a great opportunity for somewhere else to benefit from his vision, energy and commitment.

Best wishes for whatever comes next Suchith, it's been great working with you here at Nottingham and even after the current research contracts end later this year I hope that the links with Nottingham will remain strong. In the meantime I will continue to do my best to persuade you of the benefits of remaining here in Nottingham!

Dear all,

After nearly 10 exciting and productive years at University of Nottingham which was key for helping build up Open Geospatial research, i have decided it is now time for me to move on and look for new ideas and opportunities to expand this for the future.

If any of you are aware of any opportunities where i can contribute to building Open Geospatial research and education please do let me know. I am open to ideas on visiting faculty positions in universities worldwide to help build stronger research collaborations for the future.

I hope to see some of you at FOSS4G-Europe in Bremen next month.
