The Geo4All GeoBadges can be given to any GeoAmbassador who helps for expanding Spatial Literacy and geographic awareness in Schools and universities globally using Open Principles . So they can make use of any OSGeo (gvSIG, QGIS etc) or other open tools , open data, open educational resources etc.

We need all of your ideas/inputs on how we can shape this GeoAmbassador Program.

Suchith

Subject: [Geo4All] Geo4All GeoBadge meeting

Dear All,

The Geo4All GeoBadge meeting has been scheduled for Friday, June 3 at 3:00 pm (EST) via UberConference. Myself, Nikos are confirmed to attend (hopefully Phil, Ela will also be able to join). If any of you wish to join this meeting, please let me know asap. Thanks.

To start with, i suggest that we could plan GeoBadges for our GeoAmbassador program for expanding Spatial Literacy and geographic awareness in Schools and universities globally. Once the MapStory platform is launched with new functionalities, we would be announcing our partnership with MapStory Foundation to plan spatial literacy for schools and universities globally to help build spatially thinking society. We need to have lot of GeoAmbassadors (who are all volunteers) to make this program a success. One way to acknowledge the contributions of our GeoAmbassadors is we provide GeoBadges for our Spatial Literacy GeoAmbassadors. All ideas welcome on how we can plan this.

Best wishes,

Suchith
