Thank you for your mail. To join the challenge please go to http://www.nasaeuropachallenge.com/register  (All details are there in the main website) and criteria to implement your  project for the challenge is at http://www.nasaeuropachallenge.com/criteria

Please note that the official code release date is the 7th August 2017 at which time the project teams will make their code public. So if is very short time for you to plan for this year but do consider to join us next year. Please use the geoforall mailing list to help find a mentor. We have lot of excellent colleagues from Africa you can contact for this but you will need to plan this in advance. Thanks.

Ø  how to join .

Ø  how to implement my project to the challenge.

Ø  How can I get mentor from Africa especially Tanzania.

On behalf of GeoForAll, I am pleased to see excellent projects taking shape for this year's NASA Europa Challenge .  All these students have put lot of efforts and even if they don’t win the final awards , they all are true winners.


Some of the excellent projects submitted are below


      *   AWARE Algorithmic Wildfire Analysis and pREdiction
       *   Earth Viewer for the World Heritage Sites
      *   EXODUS -Monitoring and Regulating the approaching traffic and manipulating the signal time accordingly
      *   Make the Farms Searchable from Satellite Imagery with Crop Based Deep learning Models
      *   FarmsNtech
      *  NASA World Weather
      *. 3D OpenStreetMap

There is  RCUK SMARTIES Challenge awards (due to the nature of the RCUK funding, the SMARTIES awards are specific to all UK and India students who participate in the NASA Europa Challenge 2017.). Total awards are for £5000. >From the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) , there will be 1000 Euros award for the best student team for Local farming challenge. Details at http://aims.fao.org/activity/blog/nasa-godan-local-farming-challenge-2017
