Go Charlie! The ^master^ grant sprinter!!!

As for Patrick and his ideas, they are all on the OSGeo OpenCitySmart wiki,
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Opencitysmart

The rest is the Europa Challenge to deliver OpenCitySmart apps,
http://eurochallenge.como.polimi.it/

And of course the prototype OpenCitySmart app:
https://github.com/NASAWorldWindResearch

This world dearly needs a place to congregate and collaborate,
sharing what they all need in the same way.
OpenCitySmart is the ideal place for the world to come together.

Thank you open source dreamers and the most independent and capable labor force on the planet, our students!

If we are ever to arrive at the proverbial ‘promised land’ it will be the young who lead us there!
-Patrick

Great Helena!

A colleague of mine and I are putting in an abstract today and I'll update the wiki.
Let's plan another "grant sprint" or "education sprint" at the event too.

Cheers
Charlie

Thank you Helena for this. This is excellent ideas.

For CitySmart latest updates, I hope Patrick and others can contribute ideas. I was at the Heritage for Planet Earth conference in Florence last week where the students and SMEs presented thier latest work on this. Really impressive developments that the students working on this are making.

Best wishes,

Suchith

Dear geoforall community,

As you probably know the deadline for submitting abstracts to the Global FOSS4G 2017, Boston
 is tomorrow March 21 !

http://2017.foss4g.org/call-for-presentations/

I am planning to submit an abstract on "State of GeoForAll in 2017" but
please let me know if you have already submitted an abstract on GeoForAll in general or some specific
initiative so that we can coordinate.

I have updated the wiki set up by Charlie - please add your workshop or abstract info
so that we can work with the LOC to have GeoForAll represented in an effective and visible way,
your association with geoforall may not be always visible in your submission.
Here is the wiki:

https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/GeoForAll/FOSS4GBoston

This is a great opportunity to get together, share our work and plan for the future, so I have also added
a section for meetings if you would like to discuss collaborations and initiatives such as
Smart cities https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Opencitysmart,
Citizen science https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Geocrowdsourcing_CitizenScience_FOSS4G,
and Suchith or others can probably add many more.

Thank you, Helena
