Maria Brovelli had contacted me with an excellent idea for us being partner for  UN WorldChallenge 2018 -competition. Details at www.worldchallenge.live<http://www.worldchallenge.live>



Maria has been contacted by the organisers (Juhani Kivikangas) on this . I think it It is a great opportunity for OSGeo to be involved.  It  is good to discuss ideas on how we can engage with this excellent competition to help reach out to the student communities.



We have budget for student awards and as this directly relevant to our education efforts, we can provide prize for the student team winners (500 USD).



Please let us know your suggestions/ideas by two weeks (6th June 2018). If no objections received  , then may I request Maria to contact the organisers on 7th June 2018, informing OSGeo Student award (500 USD) for the student winner team of the challenge.
