Dear colleagues,

Open Science is being adopted by several Research foundations worldwide as core strategy to foster the knowledge diffusion. This represents a new approach to the research and educational processes based on OPEN data, source, methodology, review, access, educational resources. While benefits are widely recognized, it is not always simple to put this approach in practice: resources, strategies and common practices may be an obstacle. In this year symposium the OGRS community want to focus the discussion on this topic to promote, discuss and find pathways to put Open Science in Action. Details at http://2018.ogrs-community.org

I am also pleased to read summary reports from FOSS4G 2018

It is great to see the momentum building for Open Principles in Science and Education. Central to “Geo for All” mission is the belief that knowledge is a public good and Open Principles in Education will provide great opportunities for everyone.

For those of you attending OGRS2018 - Open Science in Action, please share GeoForAll ideas with everyone.

Best wishes,

Suchith
