[Geo4All] [OSGeo-Discuss] The International Day of Non-Violence

Dear Steven,

With all due respect, I would like to throw some light. Mahatma Gandhi was
not just a person, he is a thought, a thought that is the need of the World
to maintain peace. His ideology is the solution to the World's problems be
it war, international relations, etc.

I agree that there might be differences on Mahatma Gandhi's ideology.
However, it is not just his birthday; it is recognised by the UN as the
International Day of Non-Violence. The sole aim of this day is to
disseminate the message of non-violence, including through *education*
and *public
awareness. *Thus, it is quite relevant.

PS: We can always agree to disagree, which is fine.
