to basic facilities (water, sanitation, electricity). The town planners in the developing world also need to be empowered with the tools they need to build up the digital infrastructures needed for enabling good quality of life for citizens in rapidly developing
cities in poor countries also (without having to pay huge costs for buying properitery software). OpenCitySmart tools like NASA World Wind , Online What if etc are part of the solution to enable this. </font></div>

What if? 2.0 tool has been used by over 150 users in 22 countries to support collaborative land use planning. The OWI source code can be accessed via GitHub and install on your own server. You can also use your own copy of OWI hosted by AURIN free of charge

infrastructure management, transportation, construction, fire and safety, etcetera. Why are cities each left to each duplicate solutions to these identical needs? We are missing a great opportunity to recognize our commonality, and share the burden by dividing
the problem and generating solutions that we can share, evolve and continually optimize.

unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win!” We need a common ^open^ platform that will allow us to add or subtract features we can all build to.

in as well. I am the North American co-editor, and we like to include sections on new software/apps/projects in the OSGeo community. The wiki still uses future tense for the OpenCitySmart project, so I assume it is fairly new.
