<div dir="ltr">Yeah, OpenStax is one... It used to be Rice Connexions that I studied years ago for our purposes but it appears that they now have moved to more of an open textbook model. We just had an open stax staff visit our campus for Open Access Week but I missed the presentation. I can find out more from our Scholarly Communication Librarians.<div><div><br></div><div>There is also the Open Education Consortium [1], but they have (I think) a membership fee model. </div><div><br></div></div><div>I've lost track of some of the advances being made here. I continue to focus my GeoForAll energy on getting some grant funding that would allow us to look at this in some depth, and having fun teaching a first class (for me) in Web-GIS using an open source stack with my great colleagues Andy Anderson (Amherst College) and Jon Caris (Smith College). Wish me luck on the grant-getting... !
