Queenstown is the stunning setting for this GeoComputation conference, nestled in the Southern Alps of New Zealand on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. It is a popular base for all sorts of outdoor recreation: walking (locally, “tramping”), biking and at this time
of year, the late ski season. It is also the “adventure capital of the world” for those after bungee jumping and white water rafting thrills.</p>
