Nelson,

If you want to use the arial font you would need to take the arial font
from your window system folder and move it into the fonts folder.  The
reason we don't distribute the arial font with GeoMOOSE is because that
font has copyrights to it.  We do how ever distribute some true type
fonts with GeoMOOSE that are very similar to arial. Those are called
Vera.ttf.  So if you want to try that font instead of arial all you
would have to do in your mapfile is change:

"FONT arial" to "FONT vera"

Or like I said you would have to find the arial.ttf file on your
computer and move it into the fonts folder.  Also make sure you have the
arial.ttf font added to your fontset.list.

Hello,
I am attempting to utilize labels for my layer at hand. When attempting
to test my .map file via mapserv.exe I get an error

"msGetLabelSize(): TrueType Font error. Could not find/open font"

The font I am referencing is Arial. From a little research, it looks
like I need to have a font.list file and have my font files located in
the same folder as it. The problem I have is

a) I have never had this file and a search in my mapserver folder
produces no resuts.
b) the countydemo draws labels correctly.
c) I have no idea where to put this file or how to reference it.

Sorry for asking some of the more trivial question... As always, any
help is always appreciated.
